sabrina & samantha is the newest ed banger records signature a brand new project born from the meeting of confirmed producers julien briffaz (botox) and laurent bardainne (poni hoax) where mental and dancing techno collide, obviously influenced by tribal tones and the most radical grooves (be reassured! didgeridoo is prohibited)

aladdin is an atypical project at versatile, even for versatiles standards. in the base, the group consisted of nicolas ker singer, chaotic poet (known from poni hoax, paris, and his solo project yet to emerge) and gilbert cohen, boss of the label. the two met in the studio after breaking up with their then-girlfriends, resulting in an album filled with inner pressure.

today, krikors musical style has become more hybrid than ever, a personal synthesis of his musical obsessions : the fat groove and old drum machines of chicago house, the abstract sounds of minimal techno, the urge and energy of rock(abilly), the harshness of industrial music, the dark romantism of folk anti-heroes from the 60s and the forward thinking of grm lab rats (pierre schaeffer, pierre henry..). the result of this synthesis is a first album >land of truth< at last, after 10 years of waiting. its an intimate and ambitious album, bitter and sweet. 11 cinematic songs featuring the voices of krikor himself and also nicolas ker (from poni hoax) on >god will break it all< and >dogs on trial<, chloe (the french dj) on >everything fades< and chloe (the english punkette of battant) on >the times<.

after their robot-pop hit with eurostar sebastien tellier, principles of geometry weirdo beardos come back with a new version of interstate highway system. then poni hoax deliver their first official remix, putting their hands on the fierce and epic prophet. but the most epic of all tracks on this ep is certainly eat s remix of golem. eat comes from berlin where they released a few >extra-ordinary< eps on their diamonds & pearls inprint, occasionally releasing tracks by their friends henrik schwarz or ricardo villalobos. think the globins meets lindström meets carl craig. last but not least, young frenchies fieldtripq made an oldschool electronica mix of colfax, close to early autechre stuff.
